Within the NPU (Nautilus Program for UAV) DIASP-Politecnico di Torino and Nautilus present their paper about a "System for increasing the longitudinal stability of an unconventional radio-controlled airship". Going through a mathematical model and control strategies it is possible to define an automatic system for increasing the airship longitudinal stability. In the same NPU project Politecnico di Torino and Nautilus also present within the same project a paper on "Preliminary project for an unconventional radio-controlled airship". Among the various discussions we mention that regarding the influence of various project parameters on the optimal L/D ratio. The complete document in available in the conference proceedings.
